The Nose – Rethinking Mosque Architecture | Shortlisted for IIA National Award 2015

IIA National Award

1 Jul 2015

Honored for reimagining tradition through design

The Nose explores how faith, form, and material can merge into a contemporary expression of spirituality. The design moves away from ornamentation toward essence, embracing natural materials and local craftsmanship.

Through terracotta, brick, and filtered light, the mosque achieves quiet harmony — a balance between the sacred and the everyday. Its recognition at the IIA National Awards reflects an architectural approach that respects tradition while rethinking how it can live in the present.
